Japanese Language and Culture Program Preparatory Course (Bekka)　

Bekka is a course for students who wish to brush up their Japanese language skills to proceed to the higher stage of education as a full-time degree seeking student at Kansai University or at other Japanese universities.

Japanese Language and Culture Course (JLC)

JLC is a language learning course for students who wish to learn Japanese language and culture, experiencing a real life in Japan. This is a non-degree seeking program.  Various levels of Japanese language courses, from the beginner to the advanced, are offered as well as varieties of Japan Studies classes taught in English; students will have cultural exchanges with both local and foreign students

Application Period: April 6, 2018－May 1,2018
Period of study: One year in principle.
 
Japanese Language and Culture Course (JLC)
Enrollment for September 2018
Application Period: March 7, 2018－April 25, 2018
Period of study: One semester (half a year) or two semesters (one year)
 
 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Motivation Letter
  • Certificate of Enrollment from faculty
  • Official academic transcript
  • Letter of Recommendation from academic advisor
  • Colored copy of passport
  • Passport-size photo (4 pieces, 3.5 x 4.5 cm, white background color, taken within the past three months)
  • Letter of Nomination from faculty (*addressed to Head of Office of International Affairs)
  • English language proficiency  (Min. Score of TOEFL – ITP=530, iBT 80 or IELTS 6.0)

 
 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to Office of International Affairs, UGM (Bulaksumur F-13) for internal review.
  2. OIA staffs will evaluate your application.
  3. Once you are selected as Nominated Student, OIA will send your application to Kansai University as for host university selection.
  4. FINAL decision from Kansai University.

 
Please send all documents above in 2 COPIES to Office of International Affairs, UGM (Bulaksumur Block F-13) no later than May 17, 2018.
