Kagawa University is a national university situated in Takamatsu, Kagawa, Japan. It was founded in 1949 after some consolidations and mergers with Kagawa Normal School,Kagawa Normal School for Youth and Takamatsu College of Economics. Kagawa prefecture itself is full of natural and man-made beauty, surrounded by mountains on one side and Japan’s inland sea on the other.
Kagawa University has 6 faculties in the undergraduate program – Education, Law, Economics, Medicine, Engineering and Design, and Agriculture-, also offers opportunities for further study at its graduate program. Since all matters related to the undergraduate program are conducted in Japanese, international undergraduate students need an advanced level of Japanese language skill. International undergraduate students may learn Japanese first at private language schools before attempting to enroll at Kagawa University. Kagawa University offers exchange programs as well.
