Greetings from China!

Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) invites international students to the 2026 Global Summer School. The program offers 21 cutting-edge academic themes, including advanced manufacturing, intelligent technologies, aerospace, low-carbon energy, digital economy, and life sciences. Participants will focus on one theme in small classes of up to 20 students and will receive an official HIT academic transcript upon successful completion.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for the 2026 Harbin Institute of Technology Global Summer School  is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students!

PROGRAM DATES & FUNDING

  • Dates: Programs run between July 11 and August 1, 2026 (exact dates vary by theme).
  • Funding: Registration, tuition, and accommodation fees are fully waived. Participants only need to cover international transportation, meals, and personal expenses.
  • Add-on Opportunity: Students may combine the academic program with the 2026 Summer Short-term Chinese Language Program (July 5 – August 1, 2026) to maximize their cultural immersion.

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD students currently enrolled at UGM.
  • University faculty members are also welcome to participate.
  • Proficiency in English (all courses are delivered in English).
  • Note: Preference will be given to applicants with an academic background or interest in science and engineering-related fields.

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Direct Application: Students must apply through HIT’s official online application system: https://hit.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx.
  2. The deadline is 10 June 2026. Admission notifications will be released on 12 June 2026.
  3. The FINAL decision is from Harbin Institute of Technology.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
