Warm Greetings from IIT Bombay!

Established in 1958, is one of India’s leading public technical and research institutions, located in Powai, Mumbai With a campus spanning 545 acres. The institute has consistently ranked among the top engineering institutions both in India and globally, including a position within the top 130 in the QS World University Rankings for 2026. It has 17 academic departments, 35 additional academic centres, and three schools.It is currently having the faculty strength of 750 plus faculty members.The institute has been granted the status of “Institute of Eminence” by the Government of India in 2018. IIT Bombay has been ranked #129 as per QS 2026 World University Ranking. Located in the northern suburb of Mumbai, the institute is proud of its contributions to the community and country. The institute boasts of several notable alumni.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for IIT Bombay Autumn Semester 2026-2027 Masters and PhD Programme is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Apply directly to IIT Bombay. Kindly refer to this link.
  2. The deadline is March 31, 2026.
  3. The FINAL decision is from IIT Bombay.

Further, please note that as per the norms prescribed by the Ministry of Education, GoI, an international applicant needs to submit his/her application on Study in India (SII) portal (https://studyinindia.gov.in/) on a compulsory basis for pursuing an academic program with any HEIs’ of India. Please do register and submit your application on this portal as well.

In addition, a candidate seeking an admission through ICCR scholarship may submit his/her application using the following link:

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
