Internship day 2 was conducted at IAAS (International Association of Students in Agriculture and Related Sciences). There, we observed how implants were planted in sand soil and how an alternative plantation can be organized and created. What I noticed was the fact they plant shallot in the vegetables bed as well as having chili and eggplants as alternative plants. Many of us have tasted a fresh shallot from the vegetables bed. I have tried also and it tasted sweet at the beginning and hot at the end. Farmer also showed us the small vegetables garden that is in process of research. It is the garden that keeping temperature for some specific plants. We are so excited that we are going to have lunch at the “Goa Cemara” beach. It such a quiet beach that have a big waves. We really enjoyed our lunch with the good eye-candy there. Later afternoon, we went to graft the branch of Casuarina Equisetifolia tree and we took some photos together for food production group in front of this tree.
